I went river fishing for anything that would bite! I caught 4 different species of fish on a variety of lures and baits. It was a hot sunny day and the river was low. The fish were stacked below a giant dam and I was able to fool some of them into biting. I didn't catch any giants but overall it was a great day of river fishing! I went TROUT fishing with swimbaits! I caught some BIG wild brown trout with the EuroTackle B-Vibe swimbait. I paired it with a 1/16 oz tungsten jig head from EuroTackle. It was a warm sunny day with temps around 80 degrees. The creek was flowing nicely from recent rains and it was pretty clear. Love the "anything that bites" videos. Also love the "catch and clean" ones. Just when I thought crankbaits were only for still water.
Can't understand why you reel them in so fast,,? the whole point in fishing is to enjoy the playing of the fish, (surely??), Dragging the poor little guys in so fast, with strong line is defeating the whole point of being an angler, imho,,
No, you don't want to wear them down.. less chance of survival, especially in the hotter weather.
Nice job landing that catfish on that light action rod! Reminds me of the a day when something like that happened to me. I was kayak trolling for rainbow trout with a Rapala F3 on an ultra light rod with 4 pound test line and a huge Mackinaw took it. The fish was as long as my leg and probably weighed 15lbs!!

I notice you usually use fluorocarbon as your mainline, have you ever used braid? I switched to braid this year to hopefully reduce line twist. Interested to hearing your thoughts.
I have tried braid. I prefer fluoro over braid because it sinks and it’s invisible to the fish.

Those lures are awesome, just bought two packs of a new color and some new z man bulletz. Then I bought 4 quart Gourmia 1500 watt air fryer and it is rocking my world. I never had an area fryer before and this is the Bomb. You all should buy one.
